Implementing the national marine economic development strategy, Saigon Port has utilized its internal resources and effectively linked with the world's strong maritime corporations, namely PSA - Singapore, SSA Marine - USA, Maersk A/S - Denmark, to build 03 modern ports in Cai Mep - Thi Vai area of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with 2,000 meters of wharf length that can receive ships up to 80,000 DWT, loading and unloading capacity of more than 3.5 million TEU/year, total investment of 800 million USD. These are the ports SP-PSA, SSIT and CMIT.

With its strength in port exploitation, Saigon Port has a joint venture with Korea Express to establish Saigon Port Korea Express Company Limited to operate and provide container loading and unloading and logistics services for the port of Posco Group in Phu My 2 Industrial Park. Currently, the joint venture is operating quite effectively and generating steady profits every year. At the same time, Saigon Port, in conjunction with domestic partners, successfully bid and established Thi Vai General Port Joint Stock Company to manage, operate and exploit Thi Vai General Port with the annual capacity of more than 3 million tons of cargo, receiving ships up to 75,000 DWT with a wharf length of 600 meters.
